SAVOR PROVENCE – General Terms of Sale

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale and provision of services offered by Savor Provence through the website https://savorprovence.com.

By making a reservation or participating in any activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms without reservation.

2. Nature of Services

Savor Provence offers tourist and leisure services, including but not limited to:

  • Guided walking tours and cultural visits

  • Guided hiking and outdoor experiences

  • Food tours and culinary discovery activities

  • Recreational and cultural experiences (e.g. pétanque demonstrations)

All services are provided by prior reservation only and are subject to availability.

Service details (description, duration, meeting point, inclusions, prices, language, and specific conditions) are displayed on the website at the time of booking and form an integral part of these Terms.

3. Languages

Tours and activities are primarily conducted in English, and may also be available in French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian, depending on availability and prior agreement.

4. Participant Requirements and Responsibility

By booking a service, the participant confirms that:

  • They are 18 years of age or older, or have the authorization of a legal guardian

  • They are physically and medically fit to participate in the selected activity

  • They understand that certain tours involve walking distances of 1 km or more, outdoor conditions, uneven terrain, or physical effort

  • For food-related activities, they have informed Savor Provence in advance of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions

Some activities (such as hiking tours) may require a higher level of physical endurance. Participation is at the participant’s own responsibility.

5. Booking Process

  • Bookings are made online via the website or by direct contact with Savor Provence

  • A booking is considered confirmed only after acceptance by Savor Provence

  • The participant must provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking

Savor Provence reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if safety conditions are not met or if the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.

6. Prices and Payments

Prices are displayed in euros (€) and include all applicable charges unless otherwise stated.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Online payment via Stripe

  • Online payment via PayPal

  • Cash payment on the day of the activity, provided that a reservation has been made in advance

No deposit is required for cash payments unless otherwise specified.

7. No-Show and Payment Guarantee

In the event of a no-show (failure to attend the activity without prior cancellation), no refund will be granted.

Savor Provence reserves the right to implement a payment guarantee system, including card pre-authorization, to protect against no-shows. Any such system will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

8. Cancellation, Refunds, and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the activity

  • In this case, a full refund will be issued

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the activity, or no-shows, are non-refundable

As an alternative to a refund, participants may request a rescheduling of the activity, subject to availability and mutual agreement.

9. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activities or tourist services provided on a specific date or during a specific period.

10. Liability and Insurance

Participation in outdoor, walking, hiking, and food-related activities involves inherent risks.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Savor Provence shall not be held liable for:

  • injuries, accidents, illness, or physical harm occurring during participation

  • loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

  • incidents caused by participants’ negligence, third parties, or force majeure

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the website (texts, images, videos, logos, branding) is the exclusive property of Savor Provence or its licensors.

Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution. Failing this, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent French courts, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
